For Anniversary 28
Steve Clark and Lorelei Shellist 1988

Lorelei Shellist has once again shared some thoughts and memories of our beloved Steve Clark on the 28th anniversary of his passing. She talks about the evening they shared together in the photo here from back in 1988 at some point on the Hysteria World Tour. We appreciate her sharing those fond memories of Steve with us.

Thank you Lorelei

“Infinite Blessings to our beloved Steve  –  April 23 1960 – Jan 8 1991

Another year passes and life here on earth without him goes on. For all of us. I so wish he could have been here to realize his successes, especially now that Def Leppard have been inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.

I remember going to one of the induction ceremonies with him at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City way back when. We had such a great time that night. We were captured in a photo in Vanity Fair by Roxanne Lowett. I’ll never forget it.

This picture was taken at Lucy’s El Adobe Cafe on Melrose in Hollywood. We were with Duff McKagan from GnR and his wife and some other friends. Steve is wearing one of the jackets I made him. Still have that one in my treasure chest.

I miss him right now and there’s not a day that goes by when he isn’t lurking somewhere in my psyche and in my heart. I know he valued me more than anyone ever has and so I know he watches over me and his memory keeps me strong and true to myself.

Thank you Maynard, our time together on earth was valuable & magical
Rest in peace dear love.”
