STEVE AND PHAY’S FIREWORKS DISPLAY:

There were giggles aplenty during the Ozzy [Osbourne] leg of the U.S. tour. At one hotel in the Midwest, Steve and lighting director Phay McMahon thought it would be fun to present their own personal fireworks display from the hotel balcony.

“What we didn’t realize,” Steve explains sheepishly, ”was the grass was really dry from the heat. And the sparks from these fireworks, which were going off the balcony, proceeded to ignite the whole lawn below. I’m pissing myself with laughter while Phay is running around below trying to stamp out the flames with his foot. Eventually the fire department was called.”
